BeyerdynamicDT900 Pro X - excellent tune for music and acceptable for gaming. The signature Beyer tune makes them bright and too fatiguing for long sessions. FPS footsteps are clear but becomes muddy when multiple enemies are around. Easy to power w portables but improves with amplification. Good price value. Ifyou're playing 24/96khz music then yes. The770 is less accurate in the low end due to the closed back design, the 990 doesn't isolate you from the room, so it sounds more natural, and less fatiguing to work with for long periods. I've done a bunch of mixing on the 990 and they are a very nice headphone. I also have the 770's I use for people in the studio as a guest monitor. Thebeyerdynamic ear cups are big, deep and the pads are supper plush. I went for the DT770 pro vs premium 600 ohm because I read the headband pad on the pro models of the beyerdynamic is a bit thicker and on other gaming headphones this was a major problem for area for me.
