I have the 50mm F1.8, the 24-105 F4.0 and the 100-500mm F4.5 I love the 100-500mm because i like to shoot animals and birds, we have a local Wildlife-Park pretty close to us. By comparison, a 100mm prime lens (or 70-200mm lens) might be f/2.8. Which is 2 and 2/3 stops faster. Even a 24-105mm f/4 is one and 2/3 stops faster. Even most consumer telephotos won't be that slow at 105mm. I mean, look at this 70-300mm, it's 2/3 stop faster than that 24-105 when it's fully zoomed to 300mm! Let us know.
